Abstract
This article focuses on the analysis of grammatical cohesion in Mardi Luhung's poetry text “Pasar” and “Wanita yang Kencing di Semak”. This study aims to describe the cohesion patterns that compose a poetic discourse. In this study, the analysis is focused on the pattern of forming the grammatical cohesion of a discourse which includes the analysis of the patterns of reference, recovery, ellipsis, and conjunction. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research because the purpose of this study is to describe the grammatical cohesion patterns that compose a discourse. Based on the analysis, it was found that Mardi Luhung's poem entitled “Pasar” and “Wanita yang Kencing di Semak” is a poetry discourse that has good grammatical cohesiveness. This shows that there are elements of grammatical coherence in the text of Mardi Luhung's poetry entitled The “Pasar” and “Wanita yang Kencing di Semak”.
