Abstract

This research was conducted with the intention of examining the effect of biochar addition to soil under bamboo stands on the increased uptake of nutrients in mustard plant tissue. The interaction between four types of biochar and two varieties of mustard plants was explored in a study held in Jrebeng Wetan Village, Kedopok, during the period of January–April 2024. The research, carried out at an altitude of +7 meters above sea level with temperature conditions of 26°–32°C and an annual rainfall of 1800 mm, employed a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four replications. Referring to the research findings, it can be stated that the effect of different biochar treatments under bamboo stands did not significantly influence the growth and yield of mustard plants. However, the different biochar treatments on the soil under bamboo stands significantly affected the accumulation of nutrients in the mustard plant tissue. There was an interaction between the application of different biochar types to the soil under bamboo stands and the mustard plants on nutrient accumulation. Keywords : Biochar, Soil under Bamboo Stands, Mustard Plant, Nutrient Uptake
