Abstract
The identity through the meaning that is create from a whole way of life or culture. The youth is the essence of potential in the forming of meaning and identity. This research aims to represent the youth’s identity which constructed by a community of motorcycle lovers in probolinggo. This research uses the semiology theory by Roland Barthes to find the meaning and myth that form in the Byson Rider Independent Probolinggo (BRIP). After the myths are formed, this research is represents the youth identity on BRIP through the representation theory by stuart hall. The research method in this study is the descriptive method with the semiology that relate with the representation of the youth identity. From the analysis result, this research found some myths that represent the youth identity of Probolinggo as youth of Pandalungan. The representation of the youth identity of Probolinggo is the youth who still have a mindset like a character of Pandalungan societies in general. Though, there are the other influence such as tehnology. The identity is clearly complex till always related with the basic of life values the formed from an early age.
