Abstract

This research analyzes about characterization of the main character in the Breaking Dawn. Characterization is the way to know the character in the movie. By this research is expected to understand and to know the main character in the movie especially the main character in the Breaking Dawn Movie To conduct this research the researcher uses descriptive qualitative method, because the data in the form of presentation of the main character. The data of this research is the main character in the Breaking Dawn Movie. To analyze the data the researcher takes the data which consist of: What is said by the character about himself. What is done by the character. What other characters say about the figures being analyzed. What the author said either in the narrator or observer for each character's actions. The result of this research shows that characterization of the main character which consist what is said by the character about him. What is done by the character. What other characters say about the figures being analyzed. What the author said either in the narrator or observer for each character's actions in the Breaking Dawn Movie. Finally, this research gives contribution to English students, lecturers and people who are interested in analyzing about characterization of the main character, because this study can lead the reader understand the characterization of the main character in the movie. For the next researches which have the same interest to analyze characterization of the main character, this research is expected that the result of the study is going to lead the next researcher as characterization of the main character in the movie that might be relevant to their research. Hopefully, further researchers can analyze more deeply and use the new theory of characterization of the main character.
